ScreenViewer is used for remote computer screen monitoring. It focus on screenshot. No real-time video stream, no remote control, only screenshot. Whenever you want to watch remote screen, it captures a screenshot for you. It is small and simple, very easy to use!
It includes two parts, a server and a client. The server is installed on the target computer to be monitored. The server runs invisibly in the background. The client is installed on your computer to watch the target computer. The client send a request to the server, then the server return the screenshot of target computer to the client.
Currently, the server and client is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7.
The server is invisible, installed in the target computer; The client is installed in your computer, you can manipulate it to watch the screenshot of the target computer.
Sure, no problem! What you need to do is just to install the server in the every computer you want to monitor, and in the client, add multiple connection definitions, then open the connections, you will see multiple screens!
This is decided by the quantity of client you installed. If you purchase 1 license you are entitled to install the client on 1 machine. If you purchase x licenses you are allowed to install the client on x machines. It is independent of the quantity of server.
You should check some conditions as following:
A. The server program has been installed in the target computer and server is running(Scrvwsvr Service is started).
B. Between server and client is connectible in the network.
C. Make sure the IP address of connection is correct.
D. No firewall software installed in the target computer, or the firewall does not block the server. You should let firewall allow the server program(scrvwsvr.exe)
pass through it, or open the port number - 14444, which is used by server.
It means the remote computer is not logon or locked, but the machine is power-on, i.e. that the user maybe is not in front of the computer.
When refreshing the screen window, if the connection between server and client is broken, screen update will be unavailable. So its border become red to indicate a malfunction. Certainly, when the connection resume, it will turn back to normal.
You can uninstall the server from "Add/Remove Programs" in the "Control Panel". Its name is "Scrvwsvr 2.0".
You must uninstall the server program firstly, and re-install it. Then you can set new connection password during installation.
